I grew up in Kent, an only-child to my milkman Dad and home-help Mum. From humble beginnings, I was a bit of a daydreamer who dreamt of far-off travel and amazing adventures.

I found I loved stargazing, and much later on came an opportunity to travel to Namibia and work as guest astronomer out in the Namib Desert. Before that I discovered I could write songs, and taught myself to play guitar (the one in the photo, which I bought for £20 second hand at the age of 13 having saved up my pocket money!).

I had always dreamed of writing a book, and Namibia provided the inspiration and setting for my first novel, DJ & The Valley of The Dunes. I chose the pen name, Cass Clark, as it highlights cherished aspects of my childhood.

I have also always loved cetaceans, and support WDC (Whale & Dolphin Conservation)

And when I’m not doing all that, I love to ride my motorcycle (unlike Sky, I do so legally!).
